Maria Primolans first sculpture to celebrate the artist and genius of Prince, a piece which the artist has wanted to sculpt for many years. The scupture is inspired by 'Purple Rain' capturing the signature look which so many fans can identify.

The level of detail is much higher than any of Marias other pieces, and clearly shows the progession of her skills and committment to ensure Prince was captured in the correct likeness. The hair looks incredible and very lifelike, it almost looks soft and bouncy even though we know it is clay.

The thin lines of hair for his eyebrows and moustache, the eyes, skin tone, extra detail for his white ruffle shirt and purple jacket and the new technique on the back of the piece shows how hard she has worked on this piece, a clear display of the sculptors very best work.

The sculpture includes a black custom made stand, it has a square base and a bar which fits through the middle of the sculpture to hold it securely for display on any flat surface.

A unique Double-Headed Sculpture created to celebrate the Life of David Bowie.

This year is the 50th Anniversary of Ziggy Stardust! This piece displays the transition from the first to final personna of David Bowie.

Ziggy Stardust (1972-73) - The Blind Prophet (2015-16)

Ziggy Stardust - The most known character created by David Bowie for the 1972 concept album: The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. The character is an alien sent to earth, to bring a positive message of hope in the last five years of its existence. To complete the look of the intergalactic messenger, an “astral sphere” — which represents the celestial spheres in a variety of religious and mystery traditions — is displayed on his forehead. David Bowie played as the character on the tour of the same name, and retired on stage in July 1973.

The Blind Prophet - The Blind Prophet is a character that appears in the music videos for "Blackstar" and "Lazarus" from the Blackstar album. Process-
The Sculpture remains white after the first fire and is colored after the second fire.
During the Raku process some small cracks or little black points appear on the sculpture, this adds beauty and character and with this technique it makes every piece unique. The Raku process creates very strong sculptures with the differing high fire temperatures used when creating this piece.

After first fire colour is added the eyes and the lips using ceramic color, then added to the sculpture is the “glaze”. Then the hair is coloured with oxide colors, copper, iron and it is put in the second kiln. Until it hits 970 degrees. Then we can open the kiln and put the sculpture on a “bed of leaves, wooden dust..” and cover for 2-3 minutes, here the chemical reaction occurs, then the sculpture is unveiled and we discover the final product, and finally it is polished.
